3.2.2 The website interface models
3.2.2.1 Introduction
The interface models of a website allow us to define the overall website layout, that is, the way the main website interface components are arranged and visualised on screen.
The interface model editor supports the use of structures in the HTML, PHP4, Flash and Javascript languages.
The interface models do not extend further than the general definitions of the website based on the HTML language. Hence, the interface model code is to start with the HTML tag, they then contain a HEADER tag and a BODY tag, and all these tags are to be closed off at the end of the code. The remaining code further depends on the options taken by the website technical staff.
3.2.2.2 Interface models edit
Any editing of the interface models is carried out via the ‘Edit’ interface option contained in the Technician menu.
On the interface edit menu is a list of those interface models contained by the system and identified by their respective individual number (id) and title. In front of this information are four buttons allowing changes to the model, its viewing, copying or deleting.
At the end of the model list is the option to create a new model.
